Dogs and Cats: purebred and mixed bred: What's the difference?
Dogs play many roles in our society are seeing eye dogs, police dogs, guard dogs, show dogs, racing dogs, and as our companions. Cats and small domestics are usually kept as companions.
Purebred animals are bred for many different purposes: for show, for working and as companions. Breeding must be done with great care so as to not pass on hereditary diseases and to ensure the birth of healthy well-adjusted animals.
As the name says, "mixed bred" dogs and cats are of unknown parentage, usually a mix of several breeds. Mixed bred animals are less susceptible to hereditary diseases. Regardless of the breed and species remember each animal is an individual with his or her own personality. You want to make sure your personality and that your companion animal are compatible.
